1940 - 1947 – studied art at the Moscow Secondary Art School, the class of V. Pochitalov
1949 - 1954 – a student of the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow where his teachers were Mikhail Kurilko and Viktor Tsyplakov
He began exhibiting around 1953 and participated in the 1955 “All-Union Art Exhibition” in Moscow and the 1960 “Soviet Russia” show in Moscow.
1960 - started teaching at an art studio in Pereslavl-Zalesski
